About

I practice from a person-centered orientation by building skills and motivating my clients. Ultimately, my client is in charge of what we discuss in therapy and when we tackle issues. We begin by setting goals, identifying the causes of their mood or symptoms, and creating new ways of coping or understanding themselves. I have experience in many different settings including: outpatient mental health clinic, crisis residential program, locked psychiatric unit, long term locked psychiatric program, homeless shelter, support group, outpatient drug treatment, and residential drug treatment. My passion is working with adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, and/or grief to help them to overcome difficult symptoms and move towards their goals. I am a trauma-informed and person-centered therapist who helps people define their goals and motivate them through an empathic strength-based approach.
